WAEC Examinations to Commence On August 4 – Education Minister
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has been booked to initiate in August.
The Education minister for state, Emeka Nwajiuba, reported this on Monday at the preparation of the Presidential Task Force on Coronavirus in FCT.
He stated, “From the fourth of August to the fifth of September, please note the observation. A week ago the Chairman of the PTF reported that school offices will be accessible for the individuals who need to go into modification classes.
“The thought here is that we have an entire month from this point until at that period, the individuals that can and the individuals that are willing; the states who are willing should make their schools accessible for their youngsters to use.
“We’ve carried out the most we can with our delegates at WAEC and we’ve, this evening, affirmed that the dates allocated for the tests will be from the fourth of August to the fifth of September,” the Minister emphasied.
In line with the minister, the commission will publicize the normal timings for the assessments after a gathering with specialists of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), among different partners.
Nwajiuba revealed that when WAEC assessments were finished up, the administration would take up the National Examination Council (NECO) and the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) assessments.
WASSCE is a state criterion-based test handled by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for senior secondary school under-studies in the graduating class.
