COVID-19: 324 Nigerians in Turkey & Cyprus return home
A Turkish Airline that carried 238 Nigerians and a newborn child from Cyprus has arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the country’s capital. Foreign Affairs minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, disclose the information on his twitter page.
In a subsequent tweet, the Foreign Affair minister additionally said that 86 remaining Nigerians are to be carried through Ankara, Turkey using an Air Peace flight. They are evaluated to show up at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos at around 9 pm. A few of the returned Nigerians will be brought to Abuja.
The Foreign affair minister noted that all the returnees have to be Self-Isolated for the required 14 days as mandated by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC.
He also noted that they will be checked in not more than 72 hours of their landing also tested again after their quarantine period of 14 days before they can get their international passports which will be in the custody of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
