Stranded Nigerians numbering up to one hundred and nine in India due to the Coronavirus outbreak have returned to Nigeria.
Based on information from the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) on their official twitter page on saturday, that at about 7.40pm the stranded Nigeria were brought back to Nigeria through Air Peace flight.
NIDCOM explained that the airplane first landed in at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja dropping about 35 persons and then took the remaining numbers to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
In their return to Nigeria COVID-19 test was conducted to evaluate their statues and the 109 persons tests negative, however, they have been quarantine for 14 days based on the National Health Authorities mandates.
Their India returnees came some hours after 355 stranded Nigerians in US returned back to Nigeria due to COVID-19 pandemic.
