Troops Kill 75 Boko Haram Terrorists, Recover Weapons
Troops of the Operation Lafiya Dole have murdered 75 Boko Haram insurgents and recouped weapons in the North east.
The Coordinator Defense Media Operations, Major General John Enenche, affirmed this in an announcement given on Sunday.
As indicated by him, the terrorists were slaughtered in a progressing hostile in the area that brought setbacks on Boko Haram and their hardware.
Enenche noticed that the Boko Haram contenders met their loss of life during 17 separate experiences with the soldiers from June 1 to June 30, 2020.
“It is obvious from ongoing experiences with Boko Haram/ISWAP that the strength of the soldiers of Operation LAFIYA DOLE is being supported over the North-East Theater of activity as a result of high BHT/ISWAP setbacks on men and tools and catching of a portion of their members.
“In their purpose to end BHT/ISWAP hazard in the North-East district, from 1 – 30 June 2020, the brave soldiers of Operation LAFIYA DOLE had an aggregate of 17 experiences with the terrorists, killing 75 of them all the while,” the announcement mostly read.
Weapons recouped from the radicals incorporate one Anti-Aircraft Gun, 13 AK 47 Rifles, one Sniper Rifle, 21 privately made firearms, 2 Dane firearms and one Rocket Propelled Gun.
Others are three hand explosives, five Rocket Propelled Gun bombs, 205 rounds of Anti-Aircraft ammo, 1018 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammo and two Boko Haram banners.
The defense representative clarified that one Gun Truck, one Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device, one Toyota Starlet vehicle and a few stopgap structures owned by the terrorists were likewise obliterated by the courageous soldiers within the period.
